0 Combine the Jello and boiling water in a large bowl.
1 Stir until the gelatin dissolves completely.
2 Add the pineapple and cherry pie filling.
3 Pour into an 8x10 casserole dish and chill for 4 hours or until set.
Topping
4 Soften the cream cheese and whisk in the sugar. 
6 Stir in the sour cream and vanilla. 
7 Spread over the chilled and set cherry mixture.
