Damntastic Barbecue Sauce

Add all the ingredients except the butter and bacon fat to a saucepan and heat, stirring often.
Just when bubbles start to form on the surface whisk in the butter and bacon fat until everything is well mixed.
Simmer slowly, whisking often, until the mixture reduces and becomes thick - about the consistency of heavy cream.
Taste and adjust seasonings.
Serve over hot brisket, or use it to baste short ribs during grilling.
